MEA newly established subsidiary Cedar Executive took delivery of its first Private Jet
MEA Group took delivery of the first Legacy 500 Private Jet registration: OD-CXJ delivered from Embraer in São José dos Campos Brazil. The new Legacy 500 will inaugurate the VIP charter services at Cedar Executive, Middle East Airlines subsidiary dedicated to VIP Private Jet travel.
The Legacy 500 is a Super Mid-Size aircraft able to carry 9 Passengers in a modern conformable cabin. This aircraft will fly individuals and corporations on routes all over Europe and the Middle East. The Legacy 500 incorporates the most modern technologies currently available including Fly by Wire flight controls; It can cruise at 45,000 feet and cruise at MACH 0,82 speed.

About the Legacy 500: The Legacy 500 accommodates nine seats. Four seats may be berthed into four beds for complete rest in a cabin altitude of 6,000 feet. It has the best six-foot flat-floor cabin in the super-midsize category. The cabin in-flight entertainment system consists of WIFI Internet, SATCOM phone, a high- definition video system, surround sound and multiple audio and video input options.
The Legacy 500 is the first super midsize business jet with digital flight controls, based on fly-by-wire technology, featuring side sticks. The state-of-the-art Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics suite on four 19-inch high-resolution LCD displays allows graphical flight planning, and has options like paperless operations capability, auto brakes, and the E2VS (Embraer Enhanced Vision System), which includes a Head Up Display (HUD) with the Enhanced Vision System (EVS). The Legacy 500 is capable of flying at 45,000 feet and is powered by two Honeywell HTF7500E engines, the greenest in their class. Taking off from airfields as short as 4,084 feet, the Legacy 500 has a range of 3,150 nautical miles (5,788 kilometers), which enables it to fly nonstop from New York to London.
